Maureen Gerald

Maureen Gerald is a seasoned, highly academically and professionally trained at the College of St. Elizabeth, Columbia University, and Princeton Theological Seminary. She is a credentialed Counselor, Coach and Spiritual Director with over 20 years in the mental health field. Maureen is the Founder and CEO of Momentum, Counseling, Coaching, & Consulting LLC, a successful private practice located in Princeton, NJ providing holistic mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Her community of clients are adults, adolescents 16 yrs old and up, LGBTQ, married couples, and families, with a special interest in anxiety, anger, PTSD, defiant behaviors, women’s issues, sexual identity, depression, and complicated grief. 

Maureen’s life work as a clinician is to help thousands of people map out new ways to move forward. She’s often makes appearances on radio, sharing her story and strategies for “smart living”. Her practices represents individuals from around the world, rendering her practice one of the most culturally diverse in the State. Maureen integrates highly developed and safety-coded technology to further advance healthy outcomes for her clients, including text messaging, journaling, centering apps and virtual therapy, allowing her to serve clients from across the country to across the globe. 

She is a visiting Keynote Speaker at Princeton Theological Seminary, retreat centers, and US congressional forums. Maureen not only ensures the mental wellness of her clients, but engages in active self-care. Her passion is providing mental and emotional wellness to the under-resourced around the world serves her sense purpose and expressions of compassion toward others. In 2010, Dateline NBC featured her mission trip survival story during the historic Haiti earthquake. Since then, she has been a part of a team that rebuilt schools, clinics and a Church for the Haitian community which was dedicated on June 28, 2015. She also provided intensive group counseling to civil war rape survivors in Monrovia, Liberia, and presently to violent crime victims of NJ. Maureen Gerald, loves cooking, horses, interesting documentaries; and being a wife and mom of four adult daughters.
